OUR SERVICES

WILL WRITING – £95 for a single Will, and £145 for a Mirror Will (2 Wills)

IF YOU THINK that any of the following services could better secure your family’s future, we will be glad to discuss them when we meet to take the instructions for your Will. But please be assured - you’ll be under absolutely no pressure or obligation to buy anything else than your standard Will.

  • Living Wills (Advance Decisions) – if you’re ever gravely ill with little hope of recovery, your loved ones can be spared the anguish of making a life-or-death decision about you – because you’d already told them what you’d want in your Living Will
  • Lasting Power Of Attorney (Property & Affairs and Health & Welfare) – say what you’d want if you ever became incapable of looking after your own affairs
  • Residential Care Trusts – protect your share of your home from being sold by the Council to pay for your partner’s long term residential care after you die, for the benefit of your children
  • Inheritance Tax Protection Trusts – a frightening number of people in London now fall into the Inheritance Tax trap – even with property prices in the doldrums – and your loved ones could lose a hefty slice of their inheritance if you do nothing about it.
  • Discretionary Will Trusts – even if your estate wouldn’t be hit by Inheritance Tax (IHT) right now, this 2-Year Discretionary Will Trust allows 100% flexibility if the IHT rules change or if you fall into the trap in the future. It’s a cunning catch-all back-stop, and allows your executors to set up further Trusts to keep as much Inheritance Tax as possible from the State
  • Home Protection Trusts – prefer to have your children benefit from what you’ve put into your home all your life after you die, rather than it going to your surviving spouse’s new “squeeze”?  This Trust does the trick!
  • Pensions Benefits Protection Trusts – shelter your Death-In-Service and other Death benefits in a Trust, and save a big potential Inheritance Tax liability from hitting your children in the wallet
  • Life Insurance Protection Trusts – shelter your Life Insurance payouts and forestall the Government (Inheritance Tax) and others who want to grab your money as soon as you’re gone
  • Children’s (Disabled) Protection Trusts – the money you leave disabled children is protected for when they’re on their own after you’re gone, and what you leave in this Trust cannot be included in means-testing
  • Vulnerable Children’s Protection Trusts – worried that grown-up kids with drink, drugs, relationship or endless financial problems might waste or lose your money after you’re gone?  This is how to leave them money, but ensure it won’t be squandered
  • Joint Tenancy Severance – change the ownership of your home from Joint Tenants (100% each) to Tenants-In-Common (50/50), so that you can gift your share of your property to whoever you wish
  • Business Property Relief Trusts – your business can be passed on to your family free of Inheritance Tax
  • Guaranteed Pre-Paid Funeral Plans – if you worry about how your loved ones can pay for your funeral while they’re waiting to inherit, this is probably the most thoughtful thing you can do to help them. This is the Society of Will Writers' recommended scheme. You pay for your funeral now, and prices are guaranteed not to rise in the meantime
  • Lifetime Will Storage – your Will is WORTHLESS if your Executors can’t find the Original Will or if it’s accidentally damaged or defaced in any way when you die.  (A photocopy is unacceptable to the Probate Registry).  You can also store other important documents such as property deeds,birth/marriage/death certificates, share certificates etc with your Will. FREE RETRIEVAL at any time. This is a superb service – making things easier for your Executors and your family, and gives you peace of mind.
